walking for hope

“Terry has completed the last kilometre of his personal marathon. He died very peacefully, a short while ago at 4:30 a.m. He died surrounded by love — the love of his family who were all with him, and the love and prayers of the people of Canada and of other nations. There are many ‘Terrys’ out there, each fighting their own battle with cancer. He was a friend. I shall miss him.”

Today thousands of people ran, walked, or skated in the 25th annual Terry Fox Run. If you didn’t participate in the walk, that doesn’t mean that you lost your chance to be a part of something special. You can always show your support for the search for a cure for cancer through your wallet.
